HistoBond® microscope slides have surfaces treated with silane for effective adhesion of tissue sections, have ground edges, dimensions approx. 76x26x1 mm, and bear the CE mark for in-vitro IVD diagnostic applications.
HistoBond® slides are ideal for immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization, avoiding the possibility of tissue sections slipping off the slide during washes or cells being lost in smear preparation.
Even problematic tissues such as the brain or spinal cord can be processed with the aid of HistoBond® slides in routine histology.
Both surfaces of HistoBond® slides carry a permanent positive charge that securely adhesively fixes all types of sections to the glass.
Adhesive protein substances, which often interfere with dyes and immunoreactions or have undesirable background effects, are no longer needed. This significantly improves the quality of the preparations
Sections stick to the slide when washed or even cooked in the microwave. In most cases, this reliable bond avoids duplicate experiments and saves time, and reduces the cost of routine laboratory preparations.
These special sized slides have all the properties of the HistoBond® line with a silky satin marking area of approx. 20 mm on both sides (or with white marking area of approx. 20 mm on one side - code 1224469)
