New refrigerators with inverter compressor
low consumption and low noise
In recent years, the concept of energy saving is becoming of fundamental importance in the choice, by the consumer, of technological systems suitable for the production of hot (heat pumps) or cold (air conditioners and refrigeration units).
This trend has not only economic implications in terms of reducing operating consumption, but also ecological advantages due to lower CO2 emissions.
The inverter is one of the latest devices adopted by technology in this area.
It is an electronic component that allows you to change the speed of an electric motor, which is normally fixed and dependent on the number of poles of the motor itself.
Inverter in the compressors
The application of the inverter brings both practical and energetic advantages.
Among the first we can list:
- the improvement of efficiency with the control of the electrical load required at start-up. In this way it is possible to reduce the absorption peaks during ignition since, in traditional compressors with direct starting, the starting current required is equal to about 5 - 7 times the rated motor current;
- the elimination of ON-OFF sequences since, by modulating the cooling capacity, it is possible to contain the transients (switch-ons), which represent one of the most critical moments for each compressor;
- the possibility, in some moments, of having 20% more cooling capacity (bringing the compressor to operate at 60 Hz) to cope with particular refrigerating loads;
The energy advantage derives from the following considerations:
- there is a better management of the suction pressure, making sure to actually obtain the minimum difference between the evaporation temperature (in the central unit) and the temperature of the user to be cooled: the lower this difference, the higher the efficiency ;
The economic investment that is faced is amortized quickly thanks to the energy savings that these electronic components guarantee.
Therefore, what is seen as an additional initial expense, turns out in reality already in the short term an effective system to use, and consequently pay, only the electricity necessary to ensure optimal operation of the refrigeration units, with all due respect. both your wallet and the environment.
