The ROTAVISC series determines the viscosity of liquids in all areas of application ranging from the laboratory to quality control.
The four devices measure in different viscosity ranges. Regardless of a simple or demanding viscosity measurement - the ROTAVISC delivers rapid and accurate results.
The scope of delivery includes a standard spindle set (SP1-SP4), a protective bracket, PT100 temperature sensor and ROTASTAND stand.

Highest measurement accuracy
The level of measurement accuracy of the ROTAVISC rotational viscometer for both Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids is +/- 1 % of the measuring range. The reproducibility is +/- 0.2 %.

Since the impellers in the standard supply are not suitable for measuring the viscosity of all samples, a number of impeller sets are available that meet various requirements.
The right accessory for every viscosity measurement: from silicone oil to different adapters for various samples
- VAN-1 The vane impeller set allows measurement of the viscosity of suspensions and has a very low impact on the sample during impeller immersion. The set consists of four vane impellers.
- VOLS-1 The viscosity of particularly valuable and expensive samples is measured with the low volume impeller set. The set includes a thermostatable chamber with temperature sensor to rapidly heat or cool the sample and a system of coaxial cylinders for analyzing samples at specific shear rates and stresses.
The supply includes 1 impeller for 6.7 ml, generally used with ROTAVISC lo-vi.
- ELVAS-1 With the standard set of impellers it is not possible to measure very low viscosities.
For this reason, for extremely low viscosities, we recommend using the ELVAS-1 impeller set.
The set includes a thermostatable chamber for rapidly heating or cooling the sample, as well as a coaxial cylinder system for analyzing the sample at a specific speed and shear stress.
This 16 ml impeller, commonly used with the ROTAVISC lo-vi, allows measurements from 1 mPas (water temperature at 20 ° C).
The impeller without the water jacket can also be used in user containers.
The maximum measurable viscosity is 2000 mPas.
- DINS-1 The DINS-1 impeller set measures viscosity according to DIN 53019.
The set includes a thermostatable chamber to heat or cool the sample and three different impellers and chambers: DIN-SP-5 fixed volume 17.0 ml with the DIN-C-1 chamber, DIN-SP-6 fixed volume 6.5 ml with the chamber DIN-C-2 and DIN-SP-7 fixed volume 2.0 ml with the chamber DIN-C-2 (small opening).
The maximum measurable viscosity is 50,000 mPas.
- O-DINS-1 The O-DINS-1 open impeller set measures viscosities according to DIN 53019 and can be used with customer specific containers.
The set includes a single open chamber for rapid immersion in the liquid sample and a system of coaxial cylinders for analyzing the sample at a specific speed and shear stress.
The maximum measurable viscosity is 50,000 mPas.
- SAS-1 The spiral adapter set (SAS-1) measures the viscosity of very sticky and viscous samples.
Furthermore, it is possible to analyze the behavior of the fluid at different cutting speeds.
