Virus swabs consist of a blister pack consisting of a swab (available in various materials and formats) and a tube containing liquid transport medium.
Swabs for the collection and transport of Viruses (such as Adenovirus, CMV, HSV1, Influenza A, Parainfluenza Type 3, RSV, VZV), Chlamydia (such as Chlamydia pneumoniae and Chlamydia trachomatis), Mycoplasma (such as Mycoplasma hominis) and Ureaplasma (such as Ureaplasma) urealyticum).
The special liquid transport medium is stable at room temperature up to a maximum duration of 18 months.
It is particularly advantageous for its simplicity and speed of use as well as allowing multiple tests from a single sample, being compatible with automated systems and with the main molecular tests.

The swabs are sterile (SAL 10-6), non-pyrogenic and non-cytotoxic.

Products with CE DM mark (swab) and CE IVD mark (tube)

Swabs with 1 mL of liquid transport medium for Virus and Chlamydia, Mycoplasma and Ureaplasma contained in a tube with a red screw cap and pre-labeled for a correct identification of the sample.

Tubes with 3 ml of liquid medium are available on request.

Rod length 150 mm.

Materials :

Pad in special polyurethane sponge (foam), medical grade:
it allows an optimal collection of the clinical sample and the subsequent immediate release into the liquid medium.
The soft polyurethane foam tip is more comfortable for patients and has significant advantages for both conventional and molecular methods.
Plastic rod with "break-point".
Available in two variants:
standard : standard size swabs for buccal, nasal, pharyngeal, vaginal, inguinal, rectal, faecal, skin and wound samples;
thin : mini-sized swabs for pediatric, urethral, urogenital, ocular, nasal and nasopharyngeal collections.

Pads with polyester tip:
it allows an adequate collection of the sample and a subsequent suitable release into the liquid medium.
The plastic rod has a "break-point".
Available in the standard version: standard size swabs for oral, nasal, pharyngeal, vaginal, inguinal, rectal, faecal, skin and wound samples.

Double buffer kit:
indicated for oropharyngeal sampling + nasopharyngeal sampling
